NCRVA Held an Optometry Course on Advances in Retina, With Over 200+ Attendees!
In July of 2019, the physicians and staff of Northern California Retina Vitreous held the first annual continuing education course for optometrists covering a wide array of important retinal diseases from diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion to reviewing imaging tools such as OCT and widefield imaging.
About 200 optometrists registered for the event and arrived at the forum. There were talks covering the newest clinical trial data, when to refer patients with retinal pathology, and covered hot topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology.
Many optometrists both locally and across the Bay area attended, finding the course invaluable:
"This was one of the absolute best events that I have ever been to. The venue was beautiful, food delicious and plentiful, available and free parking, location right off a major freeway. The speakers were clearly well prepared and the talks were arranged in an order that built upon the preceding topic. Very well done!"
"This event was just perfect for me. The time, location, duration and topics were excellent. Thank you very much for arranging this continue education."
"Great event! Lecture lengths were perfect. All lectures were precise and offered just the right amount of information. Lecturers were knowledgeable and explained each topic well. Panel discussion lectures were insightful and offered different ways to approach a problem."
All optometrists were able to receive CE credits for this event, as well as a nice breakfast and lunch!
